Infolady is a successful model of women entrepreneurship invented by Dnet. Infolady programs were started in two places of the country, including Purbadhala. ARBAN started Infolady Program for creating access to all types of information services at grassroots level based on technology with the assistance of Dnet and funded by Manusher Jonno Foundation. Infolady is a self-employed independent woman in rural areas equipped with netbook, digital cameras, full-time Internet connectivity, first-aid box. Providing door step services through cycling especially among women, school-college students, elderly people, including the help of implementing information rights, consumer products and technology-based services, is one of the sources of revenue of Infolady. In Netkona Sadar and Purvadhala Upazilas 12 Infoladies provide multidimensional services locally among groups and individuals. They earn money by selling cosmetics, garments and providing services including photography, videography, blood pressure measurement, sugar screening, soil testing, university admission forms, internet browsing, CD-DVD writings, Skype communication etc. In fact, there are about 50,000 rural people who are getting direct services in different areas of action since 2010. Infolady is currently running in different areas of the country named Kalyani.
